Bossons is the story of two men, trained in the craft of making pottery, who transformed their craft into a serious art form as written in Book 1 by Dr Robert E Davis. The founder of the Company Mr W.H.Bossons who died in 1951 and his son Mr W. Ray Bossons who took over the helm and guided the company to even greater accomplishments. In December 1996 the Company closed its doors to make Bosson pieces a truly sought after collectible.
Each individual model was painstakingly handmade, hand-painted and hand-finished using the finest materials available. A model is painted in its entirety by one paintress who must have considerable artistic ability and be trained to the highest degree.

W.H. Bossons Ltd and Fraser-art Ltd designed and manufactured giftware in pottery, vinyl, and 'stone-ware' (the latter being a very hard grade of gypsum plaster). The companies were self-contained, originating all designs, artwork, sculpting and innovation of specialised moulding techniques and equipment, and the entire manufacture of their products. W. H. Bossons (Sales) Limited was the marketing Organisation for the two manufacturing companies.W. H. Bossons Ltd was established in Congleton England in 1946 by William Henry Bossons. The companies were entirely run and owned by members of the Bossons family, who prided themselves in maintaining a family tradition of producing giftware of the highest quality.

When a paintress had completed the painting of a model she applied her monogram (usually on the base of the model). Thus she could take pride in the work that she did knowing it will give countless pleasure to people all over the world.
